Royal Cinnamon is an heirloom variety from the mountains around Huế, the ancient Vietnamese capital, and it's not widely harvested or exported. Intensely sweet and spicy, with more depth and heat than anything you'll find in a supermarket. A Bon Appétit editor ended up passing the jar around at a dinner party so guests could taste it straight. That's how good it is.
